Thank you for inquiring about D.J. Services. I do all types of events: weddings, anniversaries, company parties,
class reunions, teen dances, public dances, etc. That requires a lot of music and musical styles; and, I have it! The
sound system looks and sounds excellent. In addition to the "regular" D.J. equipment, I also have a subwoofer and
DBE processor. This makes for wonderful sounding music. The speakers are up on stands and I use a music meter
to monitor the volume. For lighting, I use a ball that has large multi-colored circles that move with the beat
of the music. It spans a large area.
I have a base rate and additional hours are very reasonable. I routinely do events in the Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, & Marshalltown areas. Usually, there is no charge for mileage or set-up/tear down time. However, there are exceptions to this. (Examples: extra long distance; having to set up and wait for an hour or several hours prior to start time.) I do not send other people out. It is myself and either my husband or an assistant that comes with me. Therefore, you are assured of quality. The fee for D.J. services is as follows.
Four hours of music is $475
Five hours of music is $500
Six hours of music is $525
after six hours it is thirty-five dollars per half hour or seventy dollars per hour.
The fee schedule makes it very easy for you to have "background" music during your reception. I recomend you start the background music as soon as your guests arrive. "Background" music sets a warm and wonderful mood and welcomes people to your event. It makes a big difference! The fee for additional hours is so reasonable everyone can take advantage of it.
I require a signed contract and a $100 (one-hundred-dollar) non-refundable deposit. The balance is to be paid either before or the day of the event. The fee needs to be paid before I start playing.
After receiving the signed contract and deposit, I send out a "planning guide." the planning guide helps us to communicate effectively. it lets me know what artists, styles, songs you want played. It helps me to personalize your event and make it very special. You are also welcome to bring your own music. Plus, I teach all types of social dancing. If you want me to get your group going with either dance or party steps, I would be happy to do so.
